Day One:  A Haere mai I Tahatai. . .Come Ashore
pronouce: Ah Ha-air-ay my-ee E Tah-ah-tah-ee

It’s time to celebrate, renew friendships, and make new ones.  The occasion of greeting and welcoming is one of great tradition in Tahiti.  We find ourselves on the beach, ready to celebrate and prepare for the journey.  It is the journey that will take us down Te E’a O Te Hau, The Path of Peace.

      Doctrine and Covenants 161: 1b
Acts 2:44-47
Psalm 150
Book of Mormon, Ether 3:13-14

Day Two: Te Tereraa . . . Journey
pronouce: Tay Tair-air-ah-ah
Today we begin our Journey.  We must decide what we take with us and what we leave behind, what is worth holding onto and of what we need to let go.  As we lighten our load, we find we are able to go places we otherwise could not.  Our Journey will take us to incredible places!

Numbers 33
Doctrine and Covenants 161:7
Mark 6:7-9
Matthew 4:18-22*

Day Three:  Te ite Matamuara'a . . . Discover
pronouce: Tay ee-tay Mah-tah-moo-ah-rah-a
Our Journey leads us to a place of discovery:  a vista where we can look beyond the horizon and see what possibilities exist.  This process will prepare us to look deeper into our lives, but first, enjoy the view!

Matthew 7:7&8
Matthew 5:1-13 IV*
Doctrine and Covenants 161: 5a

Day Four: Oraraa Varua . . . Spiritual Quest
pronouce: Or-uh-raw-ah Vah-roo-ah

“Be still and know that I am God.”  For generations this phrase has been used to call us to recognition of God around us.  Today we listen for God in all we do: knocking, asking, and seeking.

Luke 4:1-14
Doctrine and Covenants 161:3d
Matthew 6:5-13*

Day Five:  Te Amuiraa Taata . . . Community
pronouce: Tay Ah-moo-ee-raw-ah Tah-ah-tah

Sacred community is difficult to find.  As we spend time together, travel together, struggle, laugh, and cry together, we find community.  Today we focus on what it means to become the Community of Christ.

I Corinthians 12:12&13
Doctrine and Covenants 161: 3a-c
Acts 2:44-47*

Day Six:  Te Taviniraa . . . Sharing
pronouce: Tay Tah-veen-ee-raw-ah

We are called to go to the world, to invite all to share in the blessings of community, and to seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion.  We live out this great call in the places we call home, where we go to school, and where we work and play.

  Doctrine and Covenants 161: 3a, 4b, 6b
Matthew 28:19-20*
